I think I know what happened.  Somehow the broken dowels pins caused my retainer ring to come out.

correction,  if your slave cylinder went out you will have fluid leaking from it.   if you don't have any fluid leaking anywhere (from slave or master or the line),   your retainer ring for the throw out bearing came apart.   unfortunately if that is the case, you need to take the tranny out to fix it.

you can tell if that is the case by looking at the clutch fork visually.    if you look at the slave cylinder rod, where it meets the clutch fork, if it is pushed all the way to the passenger side of that hole in the bell housing then your retainer ring came apart.    you can take the two bolts holding the slave cylinder in place and move it out of the way slightly,   then try pulling the clutch fork forward (to the driver side.   if it doesn't click in place then you're in trouble.

Update!

Evo is up and running after my lazy ass got up from laying down like a log.  Parts also took forever to get here.  I ordered two seals for the clutch fork.  I got one 10 days later, and the second one arrived a week after that.

The car is definitely a little trickier to drive with the 6 puck.
